He was predeceased by: his parents, Henley B. Jones, Sr. and Alma Bumpers Jones of Jackson, Alabama; and his siblings, H. B. Jones, Jr., Ray Jones, Troy Jones, Billy Jones, Lennie Jones and Dot Jones Guy.
He is survived by: his wife Julia Bristow Jones; his sons, Julian Darrell Jones (Lee Ann) and John Byron Jones; his sister Jean Coleman; his stepgranddaughter Katie; and his stepgreat-granddaughters, Georgia Ann and Ellie. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the "Ivan Jones Scholarship" in care of the South Baldwin Education Foundation: PO Box 1600, Foley, Alabama 36535.
