It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carma Leda Ridgeway Taylor (Fort Payne, Alabama), born in Fyffe, Alabama, who passed away on January 2, 2021, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Henry Ridgeway (Dub) and Mamie Fletcher Ridgeway. She is survived by: her husband Stanley Taylor; her son Spence; her daughter-in-law Greta Taylor; and her grandchildren, Spencer and Witt Taylor. She is also survived by her son and daughter-in-law, and as a spry and energetic grandmother, known to both of her grandchildren.
Carma Leda was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Gadsden, serving in numerous roles, including, most recently, the Clothes Closet, where she joyfully served even into the COVID-19 pandemic.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that gently worn items of clothing be donated to the First United Methodist Church of Gadsden Clothes Closet located on Broad Street.
