With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gene Thompson (Fort Payne, Alabama), who passed away on January 10, 2020 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James R. Thompson and Lucille Meadows Thompson; and his brother Earl Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Hall Thompson; his sons, Dr. Jeffrey Thompson (Lindsay) and Dennis Thompson (Angie); his grandchildren, Kendall, Cameron, Thanne, Katherine, John Riley and Jay Cullen; and his sister Velma Robertson.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to First Baptist Church, 106 Grand Avenue NW, Fort Payne, AL 35967.
