He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Sr. Hood and Nena Franklin Hood; his son Burt Hood; and his father-in-law Roland Locklear. He is survived by: his wife Rhona Locklear Hood; his son Matt Hood (Angie); his sister Jan Lewis; his grandchildren, Nena Hood, Sophie Hood, Eli Hood and Maya Hood; his mother-in-law Doris Locklear; his brother Anthony Vaughn (Alecia); and his brother-in-law Heath Locklear (Cari). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family is accepting flowers or memorial contributions may be to St. Jude's.
