Graveside services for Mrs. Frances 'Frankie" Gray Simmons, 94, will be Sunday; May 27, 2018 at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Darrell Brown and Brother Oscar Bryant officiating. Visitation with family and friends will be Sunday, 1 P.M. until time of funeral.Frankie was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, East Gadsden. She retired from South Central Bell Telephone Company with 35 years of service. She was a member of Communication Workers of America – Local 3903 and The Telephone Pioneers of America. She is survived by her chosen daughter, Gay Nell Yancey (Mike); chosen son, Oscar Bryant (Mary Ann); chosen grandchildren, Justin Yancey, Courtney Yancey, Jordan Yancey, Paul Bryant and Paula Bryant; chosen great-granddaughter, Emmalee Yancey. Special people in her life, Butch and Patty Martin, Charles and Sandy Smith, Mrs. Ollie Brown, Peter and Janet Gregerson, Captain Paul Cody; several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Ned C. Simmons; parents, William Wesley Simmons and Lula Aderholdt Gray Simmons; brothers, Robert Milford Gray, Travis "T.R" Gray, William Perry Gray and Paul Gray; sister, Sue Roybal. Pallbearers will are Mike Yancey, Jordan Yancey, Oscar Bryant, Captain Paul Cody, Brad Arledge and Rod Gray. Honorary pallbearers are Bubba Masters, Justin Yancey and Richard Rhea. Special thanks to Kim and Monica at Mountain Cove assisted living, Amedisys Hospice, Dr. Torregosa and staff; caregivers, Tammy, Kim, Donna, Paula, Judy and Annie.
