She was predeceased by : her parents, B. W. Witcher and Sarah Witcher; and her brother Claude Witcher (Bunky). She is survived by : her husband Tommy Pitts; her children, Dr. Darryl Pitts and Jenny Pitts; her grandchildren, Griffin Pitts and Kacey Watts; her siblings, Billy, Kathy Riddlespur (Frankie) and Debbie Lowe (Ken); and her grandson Coleman Scales. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Barbara's preferred charitable organization - St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
