She was predeceased by: her husband Robert George McElroy Sr.; her parents, John Simeon and Ora Lucille Bobo; her sister Billie Anne Bobo Price; her brother-in-law James Bernard McElroy; and her nieces, Anne Simmons and Victoria Eugenia McElroy.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Ann Watkins and Robert George McElroy Jr.; her grandchildren, Madison Sara Watkins, Lance Patrick Watkins Jr., Simeon Wood McElroy, Lindsey Katherine McElroy and Robert Reed McElroy; and her nieces and nephews, Mary Simmons Ryle (John), Elizabeth Sharpe McElroy, John Clarence Simmons and Jim McElroy (Tara).
