It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Jo Fort (Gadsden, Alabama), who passed away on August 7, 2020, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband William Fort Sr.; her parents, Richard Wilson and Myrtle Wilson; her siblings, Richard C. Wilson (Peggy), Troy Wilson and Dorothy Corbett; and her niece Sherry Horne.
She is survived by: her children, Betty Carol Roman of Cary, NC and William Hall Fort Jr. (JoAnn) of Glencoe; her grandchildren, J. J. Chambers of Raleigh, NC, Jennifer Wendlandt (Morgan) of Fuquay Varina, NC, Ashley Groover (Jason) of Tampa, FL and Audrey Fort of Glencoe, AL.; and her nephews, Richard Wilson and James Corbett.
