It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Lusk Byrd (Gadsden, Alabama), who passed away on September 17, 2019, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her daughter Mona Causey; her son-in-law Jack Causey; her grandchildren, Meridith Causey Jones (Tim) and Brackston Causey (Abbey); her great grandchildren, Ellington Ray Jones, Benjamin Dax Causey, Callie Reese Causey, Kynnedi Lynn Causey and Knoxx Lyle Causey; her sister Lurleen Smith (Harold); her close friends, Harriette Hundley, Wanda, Dennis Byrd, Brenda and Allan Abney; her parents, Thomas Jefferson Brown, Sr. and Margaret Francis "Frankie" Brown; her siblings, Mary Read, Priscilla Levinson, Doris Read, Thomas Brown, Jr and Wesley Brown; and also, Eugene "Ray" Lusk and William Byrd. She was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
