He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard B. Kennedy and Jimmie Kennedy (Dover). He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Kennedy; his sons, Matt Kennedy (Nanette) and Daks Kennedy (Dana); his stepchildren, Haley Wood (Corey) and Jared Booker; his grandchildren, Tanner, Garret, Dawson, Griffin and Katie; and his brothers, Clark Kennedy (Barbara), Gary Kennedy (Pat) and Boykin Kennedy. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude's Hospital or Samaritan's Purse.
