He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Grissom and Dorothy Buttram Grissom; his brothers, Charlie, Gary, Dennis and Eddie; and his parents-in-law, Mattie and D. P. Ross.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Sue Grissom; his sons, Bobby Grissom (Mary Ellen), Phillip Grissom (Suzette) and Stephen Grissom (Susan); his grandchildren, Mary Katherine Grissom, Erin Grissom, Jeremy Grissom, Kyle Grissom (Katie), Stephanie Grissom and Katie Grissom; and his siblings, Ken Grissom (Julia) and Dovie Vanderford. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
