He was predeceased by: his father Gerald Hobson Stapp. He is survived by: his wife Jennifer Roy Stapp; his children, Abigail Killian Stapp and Andrew David Stapp; his mother Beverly Killian Stapp; his sister Susan Stapp Rogers (Clay Rogers); and his nieces and nephews, Chasity Schroeder, Lyndy Saparow, Ashleigh Crumbley, Carolyne Lyman, Kaylie Norris, Jordan Rogers and Jacob Rogers. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Meadowbrook Church, Theatre of Gadsden, or the American Cancer Society.
