He was predeceased by: his parents, Joel W. Helms and Adelaide Helms (Addie); and his sister Janice Helms. He is survived by: his granddaughter Madilyn; his wife Sharron Helms; his children, Bradley Helms and Jennifer Collins (Clay); his granddaughter Emma Collins; his sisters, Linda Bodine and Nancy Ryan (Jon); and his mother-in-law Elaine Peek.
