She was predeceased by: her husband Vernon C. Thompson; her parents, Elijah McMillan and Lily McMillan; her siblings, Robert McMillan, Delaretta Bollheimer and Amybelle Gray; and her nephew Ronald Earl Gray.
She is survived by: her children, Carey Thompson (Beverly), Rebecca Hall (Lary), William Thompson (Cathy) and Scott Thompson; and her sibling's children, Philip Bollheimer, Beverly Dismuke and Ann Gray. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
