It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Ramsey Whittemore of Gadsden, Alabama, who passed away on May 26, 2022, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Homer Adolph Whittemore; her parents, George Ramsey and Parry Ramsey; and her siblings, Gladys Roberts, Lois King, Eunice Howard, Marie Usrey, Audrey Baranick, Ross and Autry Ramsey (Budd).
She is survived by: her children, Charles W. Whittemore (Donna), Timothy C. Whittemore (Anita) and Jackie Campbell (Bill); her grandchildren, Patti Lee (Anthony), Mandi Acker (Andrew), Charles Whittemore, Jr. (Jovelyn), Craig Whittemore, Deyna Williams (Josh), Derrick Whittemore, Kimberly Lorren (Jeremy), Josh Campbell (Kristen) and Emily Smith (Jeffrey); her sister Martha Noah; and her sister-in-law Ann Ramsey. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Flowers will be accepted, or preferred memorials may be made to White Spring's Home Bound Ministry or Macedonia Baptist Church Food Pantry.
