She was predeceased by: her parents, Hannah Coats and John C. Coats; and her brother W. C. Coats. She is survived by: her sons, Rev. Don R. Horton (Jacqueline), Juan D. Horton, Sam Horton (Vivian Johnson) and Rev. John E. Horton (Shaurice); her grandchildren, Randy Whittaker, Renardo Williams, Brandon Lowery, Sambreyla Smith, Porsche Hall and Don R. Horton; her sister Mattie; her sister-in-law Betty Horton; and her friend Sarah Watson. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and many dear friends.
