She was predeceased by: her husband Leighton Sessions; her parents, Amy Cox and Will Cox; her sister Geraldine Mintz; her nephew Omar Malik; and her brothers-in-law, Clayton Palmer and Carl Mintz.
She is survived by: her sister Athelene Palmer; her nieces and nephews, Billy Palmer (Nena), Elessa Palmer, Amyotha Turner (Byron), Jackie MacPhee (Richard), Jessica Voss, Tiffany Dodson (Derick), Hannah Turner (Austin), Aminah Malik, Maryum Malik, Will Palmer (Angel), Seth Palmer (Tara) and Yusuf Malik; her stepsons, Richard Sessions (Judy), Travis Sessions (Faye) and Nellie Jo Moore; and her friend Nellie Jo.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Paden Baptist Church, 900 Padenrich Avenue, Gadsden, AL 35903.
