He was predeceased by: his mother Clara Elrod. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Cargal Elrod; his children, Bart Elrod, Brent Elrod (LaVada) and Molly Elrod Phillips (Matt); his granddaughters, Abby Elrod, Emma Elrod, Amanda Elrod Glenn (Logan), Caroline Phillips and Clara Phillips; his sister Rita Elrod Holcomb (Randy); and his sister-in-law Jennie O'Neal.
