It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Leonard Hartsook Jr. (Gadsden, Alabama), who passed away on December 30, 2019, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Leonard Hartsook, Sr. and Larue McDaniel Hartsook; and his sister Carol Lynne Hartsook. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Jane "Janie" Tillison Hartsook; his children, George Leonard Hartsook, III (Anna) and Deborah Lynn Sprague; his grandchildren, Stephen and Carolyn Sprague; his sisters, Jane Hartsook Herb (Butch) and Nancy Hartsook Roper; his nephew Charles "Chuck" Herb, III (Lisa); his niece Jennifer Morgan; his children, Dr. Steve and Kathy Gross; and his grandchildren, Stephanie Gross Moore (Jeremy) and Matt Gross.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorial contributions be made in "Flub's" honor to MeadowBrook Church Building Fund, 2525 Rainbow Dr., Gadsden, AL 35901.
