He was predeceased by: his parents, Fate Hester and Maggie Hester; his siblings, Benny, Lonnie, George, Leon, Ralph, Hazel Harold, Loree Bruce and Margie White; and his grandson Charles Allen Roberts.
He is survived by: his significant other Audrey; his daughters, Ann Roberts (Danny), Brenda Crowe, Jean Price, Tonya Bogle (Jim), Kim McClain (John) and Mateen Hester; and his siblings, Joe Hester, Donnie Hester and Juanita Marty (Maurice). He is also survived by twenty one grandchildren, and twenty five great grandchildren.
