He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Garrett and Annie Bell Garrett of Gadsden, AL.; his wife Jewell Dean Flambo Garrett; his sons, James Garrett III, Jay Garrett (Tina) of Alabama and Tracy Crook (Chasity) of Alabama; his siblings, Mary Jo Robinson and Roosevelt Madison (Kathleen); his grandchildren, Brandi Crook of Gadsden, Alabama., Rashad Miller of Gadsden, Alabama., Alexia Jones of Gadsden, Alabama., Maliq Croft of Gadsden, Alabama., Jay Garrett Jr. Jaden Garrett of Gadsden, Alabama. and Jalya Garrett of Gadsden, Alabama.; his siblings' children, Adrienne Mitchell, Leslie Bridges, Lisa Robinson, Kathya Dudley, Julie Garrett, Priscilla Ware, Shakesha Garrett, Dustin Gray, Dillion Garrett and Jade Garrett; his mother-in-law Easter Crook; his siblings-in-law, Kelvin Crook and Kimberly Campbell; and his close friend Riddle. He was also cherished by other relatives, classmates and former co-workers.
