She was predeceased by: her parents, S. R. "Bob" Gore and Selena Martin Gore. She is survived by: her husband Robert Nichols; her children, Jake and Jessica Nichols; her sister Linda Gore McLendon; and her sibling's children, Dueff Smith (Rhonda), Melissa Smith and Meredith Smith.
