He was predeceased by: his wife Patsy Mathis Mayes; and his parents, John W Mayes Sr. and Ellen Elizabeth Mayes. He is survived by: his friends, John Buck, Jim Hicks and James Smith; his children, Beverly Godfrey (Ragan), Ronald Mayes, Myra Scott (Bart) and Carey Mayes (Katie); his grandchildren, Brent Panell (Meredith), Leanne Reed (Darrell), Erick Anderton (Alyson), Jessica Jarvis (Rob), Michael Bolton (Katie), Madison Bolton, Lauren, Mary Katherine and John W. Mayes III; his parents-in-law, Teresa Mathis Reeves and William Earl Mathis; and also Mike Bolton.
All who attend are requested to wear a mask and socially distance.
