He was predeceased by: his parents, William Autice Mayo Sr. and Gladys Sauls Mayo; his brother William Autice Mayo, Jr.; and his stepdaughter Lisa Blackwell. He is survived by: his wife Annette Blackwell Mayo; his sons, Kenneth Sauls Mayo, Jack Reed Mayo (Cheryl Cannon) and Jacob Zachary Mayo (Jennifer Grant); his grandchildren, Mallory Leeman (Eben), Zack Mayo, Hailey Mayo, Anna Mayo and Jackson Mayo; his stepgrandchildren, Brittany Watts and Caleb Watts; his sister Mary Frances Gilchrist; his sibling's children, Bill Mayo (Rhonda Cannon), Jennifer A. Mayo and Dana Doughty Scelzi (Nathaniel, Sr.); his sisters-in-law, Carrie Lee Chambers and Julie Holman (Jeff); his stepchildren, Lenny Blackwell (Melissa) and Brent Blackwell; and his stepgrandchildren, Lee Smith, Drew Blackwell, Brandley Anders, Megan Boozer (Blake), Bevin Payne (Logan), Kaden Blackwell, Hudson Hill, Brylee Payne, Emey Payne and Rubie Anders.
The family request that CDC Covid 19 guidelines be followed by those attending the services.
