He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Buchanan and Maxine Buchanan; his former wife Linda Gail Buchanan; his parent-in-law Willie Parker; and also Josie Parker.
He is survived by: his brothers, Jerome Mitchell and Ted Elrod; his wife Louise Buchanan; his children, John Buchanan (Diane), Jeff Buchanan, Matt Buchanan (Leigh), Mike Wilson (Vickie) and Valerie Balenger; his sister Linda Carter; his niece Rhonda Milligan; his grandchildren, Amy Clough (Josh), Jennifer Buchanan, Adrianne Crane (Matt), Karla Horne (Shannon), Nicole Wilson, Rebecca Wilson, Carter Buchanan and Olivia Buchanan; and his great grandchildren, Maddox Clough, John Luke Clough, Maleah, Lucas, Mattie Crane, Avah, Josie and Macie Horne.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to North Highland Baptist Church or Tidmore Bend Fire Department.
