He is survived by: his wife Elaine Long Thompson; his daughter Joana Celene Thompson; his grandson Carson Reed McCreless; his siblings, Judy Pitts and Jimmy Thompson (Mary Jo Thompson); his siblings' children, Traci Rice (Jason Rice), Teresa McDowell (Bill McDowell), Maridi Huggins (Daniel Huggins) and William Cole Thompson; his daughter Laura Renea Martin; his brother-in-law Wayne Long; and his close friends, Ronnie Reed, Ralph Burke, Kevin Sanford, Connie Klein, Ken Coplin, Barbara Suttles, Rev. Randy B. Kelly, Charles "Chuck" Tucker, Billy Yates, Norma Jean Fortenberry, Ben, Linda Mashburn, Ted and Pam. He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
