With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lester Roy Shipp (Gadsden, Alabama), who passed away on July 12, 2018 at the age of 100. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his grandson Bryan Weed. He is survived by: his parents, Daniel Shipp and Frances Shipp; his daughter Karen Weed of Reston, VA; his son-in-law Jim Weed of Reston, VA; and his spouse Melba Shipp. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Donations may be made to: The First Methodist Church of Gadsden, Alabama Encompass Health Hospice The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday morning prior to service from 10-11am.
