He was predeceased by: his former wife Catherine Mayben Scruggs. He is survived by: his wife Faye Sims Scruggs; his children, Kathy Thompson (Tommy) and Randy Scruggs (Rhonda); and his stepchildren, Sharron Yancy (Mark) and Joey Sims (Kathy). He is also survived by nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
