She was predeceased by: her husband Clarence T. Bugg, Jr.; her son Robert C.; her parents, I. B. Scruggs and Clarence Russell "Sam" Scruggs; and her brothers, Edward C. Scruggs and Harold Wayne "Jack" Scruggs.

She is survived by: her daughter Beverly Bugg Phillips (Richard); her sister Peggy Scruggs Palmiter; her nephews, Christopher William Palmiter (Alison) and Russell Page Palmiter (Katie); and her close friends, Steve Clay, Diane, Tom Davis, Bernadine Goss, Stacy Lee, William Lester, Dr. Jean Pugliese Willard, Prissy Yother and Nigel Houghton.
