She was predeceased by: her parents, Quincy Huie and Gertis Huie; and her son David "Ted" McCurry. She is survived by: her son Chris McCurry; and her grandchildren, Bellah, Allie McCurry, Caleb McCurry and Beaumont.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Youth Department at North Glencoe Baptist Church, 1119 Chastain Blvd, Gadsden, AL 35903.
