It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Katherine Carson of Gadsden, Alabama, born in Fort Payne, Alabama, who passed away on August 24, 2021, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas McClelland and Georgia McClelland; her husband R. C. Woody; her children, Dorothy Norris (Richard), Thomas Woody (Stella), Eddie J. Woody and Stella Woody; her grandson Thomas Norris; her niece Alice Ruth Landon; and her siblings, Ada Mae Williams, Will McClelland, Jake and Perry Edward.
She is survived by: her son Robert Lee Woody (Beatrice); and her grandchildren, Shirley Woody, Jr. Norris (April), Eric Norris (Zanoria), Mike Norris (Kendra), Larameka Wynn (Jerome), Kirstie Garrett (Derrick) and Marcia Kendricks (Jerry). She is also survived by great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
