She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Walter W. and Jimmay Runyan Rowan of Attalla; her husband E. Y. Freeman, Jr.; her siblings, Elizabeth Rowan Freeman, Milton Rowan and Mildred Rowan Brooks; and her former spouse Rowan Sherman Bone.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Thomas Jefferson Bone (Virginia), Andrew Jackson Bone (Connie), John Sherman Bone (Nancy) and William Rowan Bone; her great grandchildren, Mary Clare Bone, Griffin Bone, Evan Bone (Katherine), William Bone (Jessica Lanford), Andrew Bone (Audrey) and Jonathan Bone (Elizabeth); her brother Walter Rowan, Jr.; and her stepchildren, Earl Freeman (Belinda) and Laura Freeman Edwards. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
