She was predeceased by: her husband James O. Buttram, Jr; and her parents, Paul P. Bush and Emma Jewell McMahan Bush. She is survived by: her siblings, Kathleen Williams, Betty Bridges and Paul P. Bush; her children, Britt S. Buttram, Kevin B. Buttram and Jena L. Sanders (Allen); her great grandchildren, Grayson Fleming and Anslee Fleming; and her close friends, Marie Cook and Louise Bensinger.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Twelfth Street Baptist Church Building Fund, the Save A Life Foundation, or plant a tree in memory of Melba.
