She was predeceased by: her husband Robert McAninch; her parents, James Elmus Mote and Wiillie Maebelle Pruitt Mote; and her siblings, Christine Morrison, Herman Mote, Ernest Frank Mote, Lillian Reed and James Clifford Mote.

She is survived by: her children, Ernest McAninch (Lee Ann McAninch) of The Villages, FL and Lisa McAninch of Gadsden; her granddaughters, Kristie Valentine (Ryan Valentine) and Julia Holliman (Paige Holliman); and her great grandchildren, Shane Valentine, Austin Valentine and Grey Holliman.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the North Gadsden Baptist Church 338 Ewing Ave. Gadsden, AL 35901.
