He is survived by: his wife Johelen Short (McGriff); his daughters, Beverly Moon (Tommy) and Richie Couch (David); his grandchildren, Alex Moon and Lauren McClendon; his siblings, Ronald E. Short and Regenia Short Stephens; and his siblings-in-law, Freddie McGriff (Jannette) and Charlene McGriff.
