He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Akridge and Grace Akridge; and his brothers, Roy Lee, Donald and Jimmy Akridge.

He is survived by: his daughters, Elisha Alverson (Shelia), Terri, Bates, Brandy Wright (Brandon Allen) and Sandy Watson (Cedric Watson); his granddaughter Destiny; his great grandchildren, Bentley Holcomb, Grace Akridge, Hunter Holcomb, Xayden Roy Moten and Anakin; his nieces, Priscilla Dehghan (Mo), Donna Cole, Susan Akridge and Kristi Mertel; and his close friend Denise Lee.
