He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Melvin Higgins and Lillie Frances Higgins; his wife Peggy Nabors Higgins; his children, Jana Higgins Tarleton (Mike) and Eric Higgins (Elizabeth); his grandchildren, Hannah Leath, Mattie Alan Tarleton, Wilson Noble and Samuel Thornton Higgins; his sister Joan Kimbril; his brother-in-law Robert; his brother Randy Higgins; and his sister-in-law Sherri Higgins. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, Gadsden Building Fund, 235 S. 5th Street, Gadsden, AL 35901 or a charity of your choice.
