He is survived by: his parents, Theron Rowan Gray and Foye Mabel Gray; his daughter Jennifer Gray Slade; his son-in-law Randall Slade; his grandchildren, Autumn Jordan, Tyler Gray, Sara Strickland and Justin Slade; and his siblings, Jessie Gray and Donald "Don" Gray. He is also survived by several nephews and cousins.

The family has requested donations to Toys for Tots in Memory of Roy rather than flowers.
