She was predeceased by: her father Frank Pruitt; her husband Jerry Thomas Payne; her mother Ola Tucker Pruitt; her daughter Sandra McNair; her son-in-law Charles McNair; her siblings, Bonnie Lee, Lora Yates, Dorothy Gladden, Ailine Baswell, Lonnie Pruitt and L. C. Pruitt; her siblings-in-law, Irene Pruitt, George Lee, R. C. Yates, Thomas Gladden and James Gladden; her niece Lisa Blackwell Anders; and her nephew Bobby Godsey.
She is survived by: her grandsons, Josh Beck (Tanya), Wes Hagood and Tyler Hagood; and her sisters, Pauline McCullogh (Calvin), Dollie Brown (Terry) and Leola Gladden. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Mrs. Payne's memory to James Memorial Baptist Church, 2125 Ewing Avenue, Gadsden, AL 35901.
