She was predeceased by: her husband George H. Diggs, Jr.; her mother Lucille Honea; and her grandparents, Austin and Martilla Farmer. She is survived by: her children, Mike (Connie Diggs), Mitch Diggs, Mark (Angela Diggs) and Lorna East; her grandchildren, Amanda, Terry Weaver, Austin, Alissa Diggs, Kelley, Barry LaFollette, Richard Diggs, Spencer and Hannah Diggs; and her close friends, John Morrison and Ella Rae Clark. She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
It was Virginia's request, in lieu of flowers memorials be made to St. Jude Hospital, Memorial Giving, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
