She was predeceased by: her husband Roosevelt Johnson (Ted); her parents, John Henry Spinks and Kitty Lou Morgan; her siblings, Mary Ruple, Bessie Satterfield, Willie Lumpkin, Johnnie Ashley, Jack Spinks and Carson Spinks; and her son-in-law Arthur Payne.

She is survived by: her children, Ted Johnson (Marie) and Barbara Payne; her siblings, James Spinks (Claudette) and Margaret Spinks; her grandchildren, Zack Johnson (Cassandra), Gregory Johnson (Mary), Pam Kangelos (John), Jeff Johnson, Donna Wilson (Kevin) and Christopher Payne; her great grandchild Karlie Johnson; her grandchildren, Kody Johnson, Kelsey Lee, Katie Johnson, Candice Nix (Josh), Caitlin Roberts (Adam), Aury Kangelos (Sarah), Erin Mayben (Keith), Ashley Stanfill, Logan Laird and Kevin Wilson; and her adoptive children, Phase, Wayne and Phyllis Lee.
