He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmett S. Torbert and Lorene N. Torbert; his wife Barbara Jeanette Torbert; and his brothers, Roland Torbert and Randy Torbert.

He is survived by: his sons, Steven Torbert (Donna), Curtis Rickey Torbert, Jr. (Michelle) and Joey Haney; his siblings, George Torbert (Teresa), Steven Torbert, Jerry Torbert (Ann) and Wanda Weldon; and his sisters-in-law, Barbara Ann Torbert and Kay Torbert.
