He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Piatt and Arzanna Piatt; his son Donald Wayne Piatt; his siblings, Emerson Piatt, Jimmy Piatt, Ella Bethel and Marlene Sprowl; and his great grandchild Quentin Fitzpatrick.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn; his children, Steven Piatt (Karen), Melanie Piatt and Paula Teleky (Louis); his stepdaughters, Julia Fitzpatrick and Diane Smith (Terry); his sister-in-law Jackie Crowe; and his siblings, Gary Piatt (Phyllis) and Joann Piatt. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren plus numerous nieces and nephews.
