He is survived by: his brother John Dwain Hawkins; his wife Barbara Thrasher Hawkins; and his children, Pike Hawkins (Lisa), Clee Vines (John) and Paula Hudson (Randall). He is also survived by eight grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
