He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred James Reed and Bessie Edith Reed; his wife Tura Smith Reed; his brothers, James F. Reed and Henry C. Reed; and his great grandchild Nathan Kilgo.
He is survived by: his daughters, Nina Faye Barr (Pat) and Linda K. Lambert (Jerry); his brother John Preston Reed; his sister-in-law Sarah Howell; his grandchildren, Sherri Reed (Randy), Lamar Baker, Jackie Phannenstiel (Dan), Sondra Kilgo (David) and Mark McAuley (Kelly); his nephew Frankie C. Hodges; Rex Gill. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren.
