He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Edward Stahlkuppe, Sr. and Martha Susan Jackson Stahlkuppe; his wife Catherine Stahlkuppe; his son Shawn Stahlkuppe; and his daughter-in-law Christy Stahlkuppe.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Catie Stahlkuppe, Peter Stahlkuppe, Julia Povolny (Evan) and Alexandra Stahlkuppe; and his great grandchild Eleanor Povolny.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 14th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Alabama National Cemetery (3133 Hwy 119, Montevallo, AL 35115-8632).
In lieu of flowers, his grandchildren ask that donations be made to The National Veterans Foundation or The Gideons International in honor of Joe Stahlkuppe.
