She was predeceased by: her parents, Dewey McElvana and Blanche McElvana; her husbands, Jimmy Fountain and John R.; and her great grandchild Katie Burkett.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Burkett (James) and Randy Akers (Patricia); her grandchildren, Sissy Headley (Donny), Mike Burkett (Shelley) and Jonathan Akers; her great grandchildren, Josh Headley (Rachel), Andrew Burkett, Jackson Burkett and Eden Burkett; and her great great grandchildren, Stella Ray Headley and Avery Reid Headley.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Katie Burkett Memorial Scholarship at Regions Bank or to Gardendale First Baptist Church.
