It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Katie Sue Smith (Gardendale, Alabama), who passed away on December 2, 2019, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Euel L. Light and Irene Turley-Light of Walnut Grove, Ala; her former husband William E. Hays of Blount County, Ala; her children, Deborah M. Hays and Kenneth W. Hays; her husband James A. Smith of Blount County, Ala; and her sister Mildred Parrish of Glencoe, Ala. She was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.
