He is survived by: his wife Gail; his sons, Michael Shirley (Kathy) and Scott Shirley (Susan); his grandchildren, Sara Elizabeth Granthum (Will), William Shirley and Emma Shirley; his great grandchild Roper Granthum; and his sister Wilma Mayo. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
