She was predeceased by: her husband Mervin Willard Shaw; her son Roger Wade Shaw; and her parents, Cisrow Wharton and Mamie Wharton. She is survived by: her sister Marie Nabors of Millport; her children, Nelda Maze Butler (Jim) of Mount Olive, Tracy Shaw Singleton (Jimmy) of Mount Olive, Herbert Shaw (Joanne) of The Villages and Jerry Shaw (Cathey) of Mount Olive; her granddaughters, Kelley Shaw Smith (Bill), Catherine Shaw, Leigh Ann Shaw Edmonds (Gary) and Caroline Maze Cummings; her great grandchildren, Aaron Cummings (Rachel), Zac Cummings and Alex Cummings; and her great great grandchild Madeline Cummings.

Before Covid, she enjoyed all senior activities such as choir, Sunday School, and outings with her many friends.
